Alden Richards & Yaya Dub Sure To Be Part Of Vic Sotto And Ai Ai De Las Alas' Metro-Manila FilmFest Entry

MOST PEOPLE people want to know as to when the Alden Richards and Yaya Dub phenomenon will last. It’s been going on for a month and two weeks and the interest of the viewing public has not waned at all, making the ratings of “Eat Bulaga” so high that it rivals the ratings of shows on primetime. Alden was absent last Wednesday because he did a show in Bicol. Yaya Dub was also not in the barangay with Lola Nidora.

But even if they were absent, the Kalyeserye continues to be a hit with viewers, thanks to the resourcefulness of its writers. The addition of Paolo Ballesteros as Lola Tidora, Nidora’s lookalike, was welcomed even by netizens worldwide. And now, the latest revelation is that Nidora and Tidora are not just twins but they’re actually triplets, with Jose Manalo as the other sister and she’ll be the real mom of Yaya Dub. It’s said Jose’s new role will be introduced today.

With such clever developments in the plotting, no doubt the interest of viewers will be sustained and they can extend it longer. We think they can withhold the first meeting of Alden and Yaya Dub until October. By that time, the love team will already be shooting the Metro Manila Filmfest entry that they’re doing with Vic Sotto and Ai Ai de las Alas, "Rom-Comin Mo Ako". With the four of them in the cast, it will be truly a formidable filmfest entry and it sure has the makings of a huge topgrosser.

Also a hit in "Eat Bulaga" are Lola Nidora’s throwback photos showing her with the likes of Adolf Hitler, Charlie Chaplin, Albert Einstein, Gen. Douglas MacArthur, John F. Kennedy and Queen Elizabeth, along with Jose Manalo as Lolo Franing. It is also to the credit of “Eat Bulaga” that even the CBCP (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philipppines) lauded them for advocating the moral standards of Filipino marriage.

Radio Veritas, in turn, said: “We salute ‘Eat Bulaga’ for the pure intentions of their KalyeSerye to bring back to mind the basics of love and responsibility. The group Katolikong Pinoy also twitted: “We support #KalyeSerye because the message is wholesome. It reflects how love should be. Love is patient, love is kind #ALDUBAgainstALLODDS– @katolikongpinoy.” This is a clear indication that they approve of Lola Nidora’s advice for Alden and Yaya Dub not to see each other in person right away because “ang pag-ibig ay iniingatan at ipinagkakaloob sa tamang panahon.”
