He turned 22 years old last May 14 and says he’s now older and wiser. He has always maintained that he is not the dad of Andi’s daughter, Ellie, who’s now 3 years old. It’s said that a DNA test has finally proven that he’s not really the father. So then, who does he think is the real dad?
“I don’t know and I’m in no position to know who he is. Basta for me, tapos na ang issue, ayoko nang buhayin uli. That chapter of my life is over. But I just want to say now that those who made me and my family appear like villains then, they should be more careful in being so judgmental and making wrongful accusations.”
Albie is glad to be part of the first James Reid-Nadine Lustre ABS-CBN teleserye, “On the Wings of Love”. “I don’t know how I was cast in the show, Basta I’m thankful to my manager, Leo Dominguez, when he told me na he has new project for me with ABS. I’m happy to be back here kasi dito naman talaga ako nagsimula.”
In the story, he plays Jiggs, the boyfriend of Nadine as Lea. His mom is Cherry Pie Picache, who works in the U.S. and James Reid is his cousin. Although, he broke up with Nadine before she went to the U.S. to be a TNT, he wouldn’t give her up. But the story remains complicated when Nadine has an arranged marriage with James so her stay in the U.S. will be legal and she won’t be sent by immigration back to Manila.
Now that he’s back to ABS, for sure, he’ll meet Andi again one of these days. What will he do? “I’ll just cross the bridge when I get there,” he says.
