Aiko Melendez In Two New Films, 'Iadya Mo Kami' And 'Balatkayo' After Winning Best Actress Award In London For 'Asintado'

AFTER WINNING a best actress award in an international filmfest in London no less for her first indie film, “Asintado”, Aiko Melendez is now doing two new important indie flicks as follow up. She plays the scheming wife of a powerful official (Ricky Davao) in Mel Chionglo’s “Iadya Mo Kami” that also stars Allen Dizon and Diana Zubiri, and she plays an OFW in Dubai in the eye-opening and timely “Balatkayo”, which will be shot on location not only in Dubai but also in Taiwan.

“I’m married to James Blanco in Manila. Nagkaroon kami ng respective lovers in our new places of work.

From the looks of it, the material is another “pang-award” vehicle. “Balatkayo” will be directed by Neal Buboy Tan and produced by Baby Go’s BG Productions.
