Introducing New Teen Actor Shaun Salvador In TV5's Horror-Comedy 'Parangnormal Activity'

SHAUN SALVADOR is one of the three teenage boys (the other two are Paulo Salvador and Andrei Garcia) being launched to stardom by TV5 in the horror comedy, "ParangNormal Activity" that starts airing on Saturday night at 8 PM, after "LolaBasyang.Com".

Born on Sept. 5, 1997, he's the youngest of two kids and adds that he's not part of the Salvador clan in showbiz. He has an elder sister who's 25 and now works with a German company. His mom is a pediatrician and his dad currently works in the U.S. He started as a TV commercial model and some of the ads he has done are Jollibee, Chippy and Charmee. Despite his being in showbiz, he has not neglected his studies and is now a freshman taking up business management at the UA&P. Does his family approve of his joining showbiz? "Supportive naman sila," he says. "Basta they remind me to prioritize my studies."

He is managed by John Fontanilla who first introduced him in Kuya Germs' "Walang Tulugan". He took the audition for "ParangNormal Activity" and is the only non-ABS-CBN member of the cast. How is it working with Paulo, Andre and Ella Reyes with whom he forms the club that investigates paranormal activities in the show?

"Okay naman sila. Mababait sila kasi kahit dati na silang magkakakilala, they welcomed me like an old friend. Masarap silang kasama sa taping. Enjoy rin kami lahat working with our director, Direk Perci Intalan, kasi very cool siya sa set, approachable, hindi naninigaw."

In "ParangNormal Activity", he plays the role of Third, a guy who comes from a family of fortune tellers. He's "lapitin ng mga multo" because he has a third eye. "I'm thankful to TV5 for giving me this break and I'm praying mag-click sa viewers ang aming show para tumagal ito sa ere."
