Aljur Abrenica Stars In Action Flick 'Mabalasik' With Rocco Nacino While Waiting For A New Assignment From GMA-7

IT'S GOOD GMA-7 now have several alternate venues as outlets for their talents who are not doing a regular soap. A good example is the Saturday afternoon drama show, "Karelasyon". Just recently, the love team of Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal got reunited in the said show. Aljur himself has not been seen acting since he rebelled against GMA management and became a frozen delight who's seen only in "Sunday All Stars".

  And since GMA no longers has a film arm like GMA Films before that produced such acclaimed classics as "Jose Rizal" and "Muro Ami", GMA stars now also do a lot of indie films. Aljur Abrenica has just finished the action-drama, "Mabalasik", about criminals who are riding in tandem, with him co-starring with another Kapuso actor and Starstruck discovery, Rocco Nacino. and indie actor Kiko Matos, under the direction of Ato Bautista, best known for the award-winning "Sa Aking Pagkagising Mula sa Kinamulatan" and "Gemini".

We hope this movie will help put the spark back in Aljur's career that no doubt dimmed after some ill advised and wrong decisions that he made. Other dramatic outlets for GMA stars are "Magpakailanman", "Wagas" and the re-enactment of true stories narrated in "Wish Ko Lang" and "Imbestigador".
