Mariel Rodriguez Joins TV5's 'Happy Wife, Happy Life' After RR Enriquez & Jeck Maierhofer's Contracts Were Not Renewed

 MARIEL RODRIGUEZ is back in circulation after she got depressed when she had a miscarriage. TV5 held a special presscon just to announce that she is joining their hit women’s morning show, “Happy Wife, Happy Life”. With her are Danica Sotto-Pingris and LJ Moreno-Alapag. Former hosts RR Enriquez and Jeck Maierhofer are no longer around. They must have been affected by all the bashing they got after a video that went viral, showing them being rude to some sleeping passengers in a van.

Danica and LJ say they felt sad when TV5 management decided not to renew the contracts of RR and Jeck. “Kasi ilang buwan na rin kaming magkakasama sa show,” says Danica. “So we’ll surely miss them.”
“We can still be friends naman kahit di na kami magkasama,” says LJ. “But we certainly welcome Mariel as our new co-host. Ipinakita kaagad niya sa amin ang napakagandang bahay nila ni Robin Padilla sa Fairview kaya na-at home agad kami sa kanya.”

Mariel says she has moved on after losing her and Robin’s first baby. “I can feel God loves me and He doesn’t want me to dwell on what I’ve been through so heto, He gave me ‘Happy Wife, Happy Life’ that will serve as my new baby. So for me, this show is helping me a lot. Kaya tuwang-tuwa rin si Robin for me dahil sa show na ‘to na nagbigay sa akin ng bagong sigla.”

But she and Robin can try having another baby again? “Yes, but not now. Bawal muna. One month munang hindi puede after magparaspa before we can try again. Never naman akong nawawalan ng hope about that. I know God will give us a new baby in due time.”

Is she really a happy wife in real life? “Oh yes. Robin is a very considerate husband at never niya ko binigyan ng sakit ulo so happy wife talaga ako. And now, sa show, I’m happy to be with Danica and LJ kasi maganda agad ang naging rapport naming tatlo.”
