Ryan Agoncillo Plays A Gay Beauty Pageant Contestant In 'Eat Bulaga's Lenten Presentation

AS USUAL, the coming Holy Week will be a time for the hosts of "Eat Bulaga" and "Showtime" to their dramatic prowess in special Lenten presentations that are meant to help viewers to do so some meditation and discernment in line with the holiness of the season. One episode you should watch out for is "Eat Bulaga's" Ryan Agoncillo playing a transgender who joins gay beauty pageants but does not have the approval of his family.

Playing Ryan's dad who cannot accept him being gay is Joey de Leon and they will have some dramatic moments together, along with Jose Manalo. This is not the first time that Ryan will wear women's clothes as he has done this before in a mini-series on TV, "Lady Gaga:, where played a father who pretends to be a woman to be able to take care of his own children, ala-Mrs. Doubtfire. But he's just pretending there, unlike in the "Eat Bulaga" Holy Presentation where he is really a gay who cross-dresses. The episode is directed by Joyce Bernal who says Ryan delivers more than what she expected in his first gay role. In "Showtime's" own Lenten drama, Billy Crawford will also be playing a similar gay role. Let's see who will come out better in the eyes of the viewers: Ryan or Billy?
