Radyo 5's Workshop Trains More Members Of Its Taxi Squad As On The Road Citizen Journalists

AFTER WINNING the 13th IABC Philippine Quill Award for its unparalleled contributions to public service, Radyo5 92.3 NewsFM reinforces its award-winning Taxi Squad campaign with the second staging of its “Nasa Tama” workshop held yesterday at the Studio4 of TV5 Media Center in Reliance, Mandaluyong City. This annual workshop for the continuously growing community of taxi drivers who voluntarily serve as citizen journalists while on the road, will hone the needed skills and values of Taxi Squad members so that they may professionally and effectively carry out their unique role in society. As such, with the Taxi Squad serving as TV5’s extra eyes, ears and informers of various newsworthy events all over the country, the workshop will be tackling the key topics of Disaster Preparedness and Response, as well as News Reporting, which will be spearheaded by some of Radyo5’s very own well-loved anchors. And as an added treat to the participants, the “Nasa Tama” workshop will also be tackling topics such as Health and Wellness, and Livelihood Opportunities, in order to also further develop the personal wellness of the entire Taxi Squad community.
