Kris Bernal On The Possibility Of Being Linked With Dennis Trillo When They Do 'Hiram Na Alaala'

KRIS BERNAL is so proud to have been chosen as the leading lady of Dennis Trillo in GMA’s new soap, “Hiram na Alaala”. “I was so glad when I was informed na akong makakapareha ni Dennis,” she says. “First time namin together. Matagal na rin akong walang soap after ‘Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko’ namin ni Aljur (Abrenica.) Siya nga, nagka-followup project na, yung ‘Kambal Sirena’, na natapos na rin. Ako, ngayon pa lang nabigyan ng kasunod. But it’s worth the long wait. In between, I was in ‘Sunday All Stars’ and I was guesting in other shows like ‘Magpakailanman’ where I played a witch in a recent episode.”

What’s “Hiram na Alaala” all about? “It’s about the power of shared memories. Sa mga taong nagkakalayo, yun na lang mga alaalang namagitan sa kanila ang patuloy na nag-uugnay sa kanila, di ba? Mature and deep ang tema ng serye kaya excited ako. It’s about love, family, friendship, loyalty. The characters go through an entire range of various emotions kaya acting vehicle talaga ito. Kasama rin namin dito sina Rocco Nacino and Lauren Young.”

Dennis is loveless right now and she herself has just broken up with Carl Guevarra. What if they get linked while doing the show? “I don’t know him that much. Hindi kami gaanong close. Basta ang alam ko magaling siyang actor at nirerespeto ng lahat ang husay niya. But judging doon sa mga na-link na kay Dennis before (Cristine Reyes, Carlene Aguilar, Jennylyn Mercado, among others), parang hindi naman ako kasali sa standards niya. Hindi ko ma-imagine. Pero hindi rin natin masasabing imposible, so let’s leave it all na lang kay Lord. Basta, trabaho ang priority ko rito, hindi pakikipagligawan kahit kanino.”
