Willie Revillame Returning Back To TV5 Come September

SOMEONE told us the rumor that Willie Revillame is coming back soon on TV is true. Target date is September. TV5 (not GMA as someone else reported) is reportedly getting him back, but on their own terms, unlike before when Willie was the one calling the shots. We heard he’ll be hosting a revival of the late Pepe Pimentel’s “Kuwarta o Kahon”. We don’t know how true that is, but Willie has actually done that before in “Pera O Bayong”, which had the same game mechanics.

We heard Willie is now recruiting a new set of dancers for his show at the Delta Theatre studio which he renovated then for “Wowowillie”. Willie’s former trusted production exec, Jay Montelibano, is instrumental in his return to TV5 as Jay now heads TV5’s sales department. The new think tank of

TV5 (headed by Pres. Noel Lorenzana, Entertainment Head Wilma Galvante and Quality Control Head Bong Sta. Maria) believes that their shows will rate more if they offer more sports and entertainment shows than the usual teledramas offered by the two top channels now.
