Donita Rose Wants To Make It Clear She Wasn'T Fired By ABS-CBN

DONITA ROSE is turning 40 on December 5. We remember first seeing her when she was just a 15-year old balikbayan from the U.S. who guested in Vilma Santos’ show and later became a part of “That’s Entertainment” on GMA-7. She quickly joined the movies and did films like “Katabi Ko’y Mamaw” and “Class of 91” when she was 16. On TV, she’s best remembered as Barbie Doll in “Ober Da Bakod”. She later moved to ABS-CBN and hosted “Umagang Kay Ganda”.

She left it in 2012 and lived in Las Vegas with her husband and kids. She wants to make it clear that she was not fired from the show. She really bid them goodbye to try a new career as a chef in the U.S. since she got a passion for food after taking up culinary arts and wants to reinvent herself. But she is now back on TV and as a Kapuso in “Basta Every Day Happy” that starts airing today at 11 AM, to be seen Monday to Friday.

For starters, her contract is initially only for two months. “It all depends on whether the show will click and be a hit with viewers,” she says. “I’m hoping audiences will like it and make it a part of their morning viewing. Director Louie Ignacio and our writers have come up with great interesting segments to make the show perfect for housewives and moms. Me and my co-hosts, Gladys Reyes, Alessandra de Rossi and Chef Boy Logro, all vowed that we’ll do our best to make our show really worth watching.”

Expect her and Chef Boy Logro to share their expertise in cooking their best recipes in this show that is bound to change viewing habits of morning viewers.
