Public Reaction About Kris Aquino-Herbert Bautista Romance Is Mostly Negative

JUDGING FROM the reaction of people in social media, it seems many of them are not in favor of Kris Aquino’s romance with QC Mayor Herbert Bautista. The reaction became especially negative when it was written about that his two kids with longtime partner Tates Gana, Athena and Harvey, are both crying their hearts out after learning that their dad is romancing Kris.

Someone who wrote us says: “Sana makonsensiya si Kris. Hindi magtatagal ang relasyon nila ni Herbert kasi may mga tao siyang tinatapakan. Kawawa naman yung partner ni Herbert kahit sabihing hindi sila officially married at ang mga anak niya. Hindi ba niya naisip ang magiging feelings nila? Hindi naman si Herbert gaya niya na officially separated and annulled na. Sana kumuha na lang siya nang walang sabit para hindi siya makarma.”

Another letter writer says: “Baka naman part lang ng drama ni Kris ang Herbert romance dahil she likes na lagi siyang nasa headline. She knows how to float stories about herself para laging mapag-usapan siya. She really knows how to promote herself to the maximum. She is her own best publicist. Kapag nakipag-break na siya kay Herbert, then another chance para siya ma-headline. Baka in the end, si Puto ang maging brokenhearted.”

Well, what can we say? Can’t we just happy for them? After all, they’re no longer lovestruck teenagers but both 40 year old plus. They should have the wisdom to discern the rationality and possible consequences of their behavior. At this point, everything is delusional for them when it comes to their romance. Reality check will come in much later. When Boy Abunda told Kris on TV: “Kasalan na!”, her response was: “Huwag naman. Hindi pa siya nagpo-propose.” So does it mean she’d accept him right away if he’d indeed propose?
