Let's Condole With Regine Velasquez For The Passing Of Her Dad Mang Gerry

OUR CONDOLENCES to Regine Velasquez and her family for the passing of her dad Gerardo, better known as Mang Gerry, at 76 years old. He used to accompany Regine everywhere she went, until he got sick. Last year, he stayed in the hospital for three months and was released in November.

In her last presscon, when asked about her dad, Regine said: "He still needs more prayers kasi gusto ko sanang bumalik yung dati niyang sigla. But you know, nagpapasalamat na lang ako kay God na we were given more time to be with him pa rin, to take care of him. So, yun na lang yung tine-thank you ko. Kasi last year, there was a time na parang natakot na kami na baka eto na yun. Meron kaming ganun, e. But fortunately, hindi naman. So, I’m hoping na itong Valentine’s day, he’ll be able to watch.”

Alas, it didn’t come to pass. Regine was having another presscon last Monday when she got a call that her dad finally left, so she had to leave the presscon in a hurry. She later posted in her instagram account: "The leader of the band, Mang Gerry, joined his creator 1:39pm today. Thank you for praying for him during all this time that he has been fighting for his life. God bless you all.”

Let’s help the Velasquez pray for the repose of his soul.
