Richard Gutierrez Willing To Mediate To Patch Things Ups Between GF Sarah Lahbati & GMA

RICHARD GUTIERREZ is optimistic that his GF Sarah Lahbati will eventually be able to patch things up with GMA-7 exec Annette Gozon Abrogar. “I’m willing to mediate and be a peacemaker para maayos ang lahat,” he says. “Gusto ko sana, magkaroon sila ng chance na magkausap ng maayos. Di ba it’s so much better kung maaayos na ang lahat? Sa dami ng calamities na nangyayari sa bansa natin ngayon, na may rebellion in Zamboanga, lindol, supertyphoon at pork barrel controversy, mas maganda kung lahat tayo, magtulung-tulong to just be in peace with each other. Is it true he has secretly married Sarah and they now have a baby?

“Natatawa kami kasi lagi kaming pinapangunahan. Di bas mas maganda kung it will come from us? All of a sudden, biglang naging malaking issue at may baby na raw kami. As for being married, big decision for me ’yan and I won’t do it in a rush. Right now, focused lang kami sa whatever we have. Abangan n’yo na lang sa reality show ng family namin dahil marami kaming revelations doon.” 

So will he really transfer to another network? “I’m doing a new movie with GMA Films. Bago ang leading lady at director ko, to be announced later. As for going to a new network, bayaan na lang ang rumors na lumalabas. Let’s just keep the people guessing. As of now, nakatutok ako sa reality show naming ‘It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez’. Matagal nang may offer sa’min to do a show like this, but I think now is the right time. It’s actually the first time na we can do this. Kasi for the past years, connected kami sa iba-ibang network, ‘di ba? E, ngayon, sabay-sabay nag-expire ang contracts namin so we’re all free lancers, so I think this is the perfect project for us. It’s an experiment and we want to see the outcome. Kami rin, hindi namin alam kung ano ang kalalabasan. So we’re excited and at the same time, nervous, anxious, all mixed feelings. But at the end of the day, I think it’s the family experience that we all want to go through. We’ll clear up the misconceptions about our family. Ipapakita namin kung sino kami. What we are made of. It’s also challenging and breaking barriers for me kasi very private ako, but now I’ll open myself up to the public for the first time.”

We tell Richard that he obviously gained a lot of weight while on vacation and he should get rid of that before shooting his new movie. “I’m aware of that and I’m doing something about it. Don’t worry, I’m on my way.”
