Talented Singer-Composer Lara Maigue Sings The Theme Song Of TV5's 'For Love Or Money'

LARA MAIGUE is the young composer who competed in the recent Philpop contest with the song “Sa’Yo Na Lang Ako” interpreted by Karylle. TV5 now got her composition to be the theme song of their one-hour drama to be shown Thursdays at 9 PM starting October 17, “For Love or Money”. Since Karylle is with ABS, TV5 asked Lara to interpret the song herself. She sang it live at the show’s presscon and she did it quite beautifully.

Lara is 22 and is a voice major at the UP College of Music, where her parents are both professors. Her mom is classical singer Nanette Moscardon and her dad Rayben Maigue is a classical guitarist. The third of four kids, she used to be with singing group called Operabelles but she’s now going solo.

She was so elated when she guested last Sunday in “The Megastar and the Songwriter” to sing her song. “It’s really a great honor to meet THE Sharon Cuneta and Ogie Alcasid in person,” she says. “They’re both very friendly and encouraging. Mega even asked me, Can you write a song for me? I told her it’s going to be an honor and she said, I will look forward to that. As for Ogie, he said I should have an album of my own songs. Ang babait nila.”
