Derek Ramsay On His Breakup With Cristine Reyes And How It Affects Their Movie

ONE OF THE most sought after celebs at the TV5 launch was Derek Ramsay. Writers want to interview him about his short-lived love affair with Cristine Reyes that lasted only a month when he even proclaimed that “this is forever.”

“Please, I don’t want to talk about it,” he says when asked about it. “Out of respect for Cristine at para hindi na lang humaba ang issue, I have nothing to say and will just keep quiet. Pasensiya na lang.”

But how is he? “I’m moving on.”

He’s part of TV5’s Everyday All The Way in the Thursday night one-hour drama, “For Love or Money”, where he plays Ritz Azul’s husband who’s seduced into an affair by Alice Dixson to the tune of P10 million. At the launch, Cristine’s elder sister, Ara Mina, was present since she’s in “The Gift”. Didn’t he feel awkward about it?

“No, nagbeso pa nga ako sa kanya. We’re okay. Even Cristine and I, okay kami. The breakup will not affect our working relationship in the movie we’re now shooting, ‘My Trophy Wife’ where we even have love scenes. Meron din kaming scheduled shows together sa Hawaii at tuloy rin lahat yun. Bale one week kaming magkasama in various places sa Hawaii.”

Well, we won’t be surprised if they have already reconciled by the time they return here to Manila.
