Child Actor Bugoy Carino Wins An International Acting Award For 'Alagwa'

BUGOY CARINO is one of the most talented actors we’ve ever met. He’s fantastic on the dance floor and as an actor, he’s tops. His real name is Roger Kyle Carino and was born on Sept. 3, 2002. He started dancing when he was 4 and appeared in various TV commercials. In 2009, he joined Star Circle Quest Kids and won. He then joined “Goin’ Bulilit” and did other TV shows like “Agimat”, “Kokey at Ako”, “Agua Bendita”, “Imortal”, “100 Days to Heaven”, “E-Boy”, “Anna Liza” and “Wansapanataym”. He played Jericho Rosales’ son in “I’ll Be There” and now, they’re together again, in “Alagwa”, where they both won awards. Bugoy won as best supporting actor at the Asean Filmfest in Sarawak, Malaysia while Jericho won best actor at the Urian and in three foreign filmfests. Prior to this, Bugoy also won as 2011 Metro Filmfest best child actor for “Shake Rattle and Roll 13”. He didn’t expect to win an international award in Sarawak.

He’s happy to be part of a movie like “Alagwa”, which is about human trafficking.

He wants to thank Jericho Rosales for really acting like his real dad.

“Alagwa” is now showing in theatres nationwide. Since he’s turning into a teenager in two year, our wish for Bugoy is to grow big and tall and not stunted in growth like most child stars. Also, he might want to change his name. Bugoy is okay for a child actor, but for a future teen matinee idol, such a name doesn’t sound very promising.
