Marian Rivera In Kapamilya Territory To Promote 'Kung Fu Divas'

DON’T BE SURPRISED to see Marian Rivera at ABS-CBN because she’s promoting her movie with Ai Ai de las Alas, “Kung Fu Divas”, which will be released by Star Cinema. She already attended the presscon for bloggers and will return there for the presscon for the regular entertainment press today. First time, she went there, she was stopped by the guards asking who she is and she didn’t mind it. She’ll also go back to ABS to guest in their various shows as part of the film’s promo.

The movie will be released on October 2 and she’s scheduled to guest in “The Buzz” live on September 29. What’s the reaction of her home studio, GMA-7, about this? “I asked for their permission at pinayagan naman nila ako kasi alam nilang hindi lang ako artista sa ‘Kung Fu Divas’ kundi co-producer din ako nito so I really need to help promote it,” she says. She's happy to have done a spectacular special effects action-comedy with Ai Ai. "It's great working with her," she says.

"We had lots of fun together. Magkalaban kami sa beauty contest dito called Hiyas ng Dalampasigan, pero naging magkakampi kami later with Edward Mendez as our teacher na tinuruan kami ng martial arts to fight a supervillain played by Roderick Paulate. I'm personally proud to have co-produced this movie na hindi naman sa pagyayabang, mala-Hollywood talaga ang dating."
