EULA VALDES starred in the recent Cinemalaya entry, “David F”, with whom she co-starred with boyfriend Rocky Salumbides (she denies the rumor that they’ve broken up). Now, she’s in the cast of the CineFilipino entry, “Bingoleras”, written and directed by Ron Bryant who won best director in the 2nd Cinemalaya for “Rotonda”. “I accepted as I liked the story about six single women and a priest whose lives criss-cross during a bingo game marathon in their church in time for their town fiesta,” she says. “The bingo games turn their expectations and relationships with each other upside down and inside out. Binasa ko pa lang ang script, I already found it very funny.” Eula co-stars with Max Eigenmann, Charee Pineda, Liza Dino, Mercedes Cabral, Hazel Orencio and Lou Veloso as the priest.
On TV, after doing “Cassandra” on TV5 , Eula is back with GMA-7 in the new show, “Kahit Nasaan Ka Man”, that will replace “Anna Karenina” this coming Monday starring Julie Anne San Jose and Kristoffer Martin. She will play the adoptive mother of Kristoffer, who’s the same age as her eldest son, Miguel. “Kahit Nasaan Ka Man” is a musical drama and the musical sequences will be sung live by both Julie Anne and Kristoffer. Since Eula is also a singer, it’ll not be a problem for her to also sing live in the show.
"I'm thankful to TV5 na pinayagan nila ako to 'Kahit Nasaan Ka Man' with GMA but after this balik ako sa kanila to do 'Silay' for Eric Quizon," she says.
