Marian Rivera Renews Contract With GMA-7

MARIAN RIVERA is turning 29 tomorrow, August 12, but she started her birthday celebration last Thursday when she hosted a party with gift-giving to the child patients at Child Haus, put up by Mother Ricky Reyes for kids afflicted with the big C. Marian cried when the kids and their parents, who are all so happy to see her in person, sang her the birthday song then made a special card for her. From there, Marian dropped by the 70th birthday bash of newshen Nora Calderon at Victorino’s and that’s where we saw her.

Is it true she’s moving to TV5? “Sinong may sabi?” she said.

You were seen having dinner with TV5 bosses led by Manny Pangilinan. “It’s more because endorser kasi ako ng kanilang TalknText at hindi dahil lilipat na ko sa kanila. Wala kaming napag-usapang alok from TV5.”

This turned out to be true. Last Saturday morning, Marian signed up anew with GMA-7 for the renewal of her contract. This was held at the Manila Polo Club in Forbes Park no less, not just at the GMA conference which was the usual venue for other stars.
We also heard that Regine Velasquez is also not following husband Ogie Alcasid on TV5, as earlier reported, but also opted to stay as a Kapuso.

The GMA star who’ll have a new show with TV5 is Michael V, who’ll host “Killer Karyoke, Pinoy Version”. He asked permission from GMA-7 to allow him to do shows with TV5, just like Joey de Leon and Vic Sotto, and he was given permission. Also moving to TV5 is Raymond Gutierrez, who’ll be co-hosting "Showbiz Pulis", the new showbiz talk show that will replace “Latest” as co-host of Cristy Fermin and Direk Joey Reyes.
