Lovi Poe Feels Pressure With Her First Solo Primetime Soap, 'Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas'

TWO SHOWS with the word “Bukas” in their titles had their presscons recently. First was “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin”, then GMA-7’s “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas”. Some writers quipped that it’s the tribute of the two networks to People’s Tonite’s Leo Bukas.

“Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas” is the first solo drama show on primetime of Lovi Poe, so she’s understandably tense about it. When it comes to acting, no doubt Lovi is one of the best young actresses in showbiz today, as her award-winning performances in such films as “Sagrada Familia”, “Mayohan” and “Yesterday Today Tomorrow” would attest to. As Lovelia, the leading character in “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas”, we have no doubt she’d deliver once again. And she shouldn’t be so nervous as she’s supported by a formidable cast led by Cesar Montano, Gloria Romero, Rocco Nacino, Solenn Heussaff, Charee Pineda and Liza Lorena.
