She did several sexy films starting with “Manikang Hubad” with Cristina Crisol and Thessa Tuazon, “Nalalasap ang Hapdi” with Olivia Ortiz, “Unang Gabi” with Maribel Lopez, “Tukso sa Mundo” with Didith Romero and Michelle Zobel, “Sabik” with Joy Sumilang, “Kulasisi” with Anna Marie Gutierrez, “Black Sheep Baby” with Myrna Castillo and many more. Then the late Lino Brocka directed her on TV in “Ina”. She impressed him. “Sabi niya, magaling kang artista, wag ka ng maghubad. He cast me in ‘Gumapang Ka sa Lusak’ ng Viva with Dina Bonnevie in 1990. Isasama niya ko uli sa next movie niya, ‘Huwag Mo Akong Salingin’, but he died in that car accident, so Christopher de Leon directed the movie. Pero dahil sa kanya, nakilala ko ng magagaling na director. Isinama ako ni Gil Portes sa ‘Mulanay’ with Gina Alajar and Jaclyn Jose, ni Mel Chionglo sa ‘Midnight Dancers’, ni Chito Rono sa ‘Curacha, Babaeng Walang Pahinga’ with Rosanna Roces at ‘Sukob’ with Claudine Barretto, ni Joey Reyes sa ‘Tikim’ at ni Joel Lamangan sa ‘Abandonada’ with Maricel Soriano and ‘Death Row’ with Eddie Garcia. Kinuha rin ako ng Star Cinema sa ‘Calvento Files’ at ng Seiko Films with Nini Jacinto sa ‘Mapagbigay’ and ‘Gigil’, at ni Mac Alejandre in ‘Liberated’ and ‘Let the Love Begin’. Tapos, naging busy rin ako doing soaps on TV, mostly sa GMA-7 like ‘Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin’, ‘Blusang Itim’ and ‘My Beloved’. Then my mother died at nahinto ako. Ngayon ko lang itutuloy uli with Roel as my manager.”
Maureen was only 17 when she gave birth to her first daughter, Nadine. “She’s now 24 years old at tapos ng nursing. The next one, Carol, is 21, taking up HRM major in culinary arts. Ang last one, Belle, is 11, at nasa grade school pa. My husband is in the buy and sell business. Nagkahiwalay kami ng five years pero mabait naman siya kaya nagkabalikan din kami.”
