Charice & Mommy Raquel: Lesbianism Runs In The Family?

INSTEAD OF handling their family problems quietly and in private, Raquel Pempengco, the mother of Charice who keeps on saying all her thoughts about her daughter in social media through Facebook, chose to call for her own presscon where she admitted that like Charice, “Opo, tomboy rin po ako noon.”

As one writer quips: “Ayaw patalbog ng nanay. Sa lagay, si Charice lang ang tomboy?”

Raquel’s own mom, Tess Relucio, confirmed this. She said Raquel had a girlfriend then. But she forced Raquel to marry a man (Charice’s dad) and they had two kids: Charice and her brother Carl. As maybe expected, the marriage didn’t prosper and Raquel and kids went back to Lola Tess.

Raquel said what’s happening to her and Charice is so painful. "Ang pakiramdam po namin ay itinakwil na kami ni Charice. Tinalikuran at isinantabi," she said.

They’re just praying for her. "Ipinagdarasal po namin na tumanda po si Charice bilang isang mabuting tao at lumaki siya nang maka-Diyos, tapat, may malasakit sa kapwa, at may takot. Dasal po namin na lagi siyang magpasalamat sa mga biyayang dumarating sa kanyang buhay, nakakatulog po siya lagi nang mahimbing sa gabi nang walang alinlangan, at magkaroon po siya ng tunay na kaligayahan.”

Charice keeps on saying in interviews she wants to reconcile with her mom. How come she just doesn’t go to her directly? Since she outed herself, she’s all over the place guesting in various TV shows like “Celebrity Bluff”, Karen Davila’s show on ANC, “Gandang Gabi Vice”, “Unang Hirit”, etc. We last saw her guesting live in “Startalk”, where they made fun of her as they mentioned her crushes like Donna Cruz, Sam Pinto, Pauleen Luna (they said “lagot ka kay Bossing Vic”) and Marian Rivera (“lagot ka kay Dingdong”). When asked to say a few word for her lady love, Alyssa Quijano, she pledged her love for her and Lolit Solis said: “Lalaking-lalaki. Gentleman.”

She’s all over to show that she’s happy and gay. But she doesn’t have time to go see her mom?
