International Vocalist Of The Journey Arnel Pineda Sings Pure Gold Jingle

INTERNATIONAL vocalist of The Journey Arnel Pineda was chosen by Pure Gold to sing their jingle for TENkyu Po, a campaign in line with the 10th anniversary of their Tindahan ni Aling Puring. “I’m glad to do the TVC and jingle for them kasi nakaka-relate ako sa pinararangalan nilang Ka-Asenso heroes na sari-sari store members,” he says. “Talagang dapat suportahan natin anumang advocacy na tumutulong sa mga tao para umasenso sa buhay.”

Arnel himself is an inspiring success story. From being an unknown, he zoomed to fame worldwide when chosen by The Journey to be their new vocalist. “I really feel so blessed na nakuha ako ng Journey kaya gusto ko ring maka-relate sa small businessmen na tinutulungang umasenso ni Aling Puring ng Pure Gold,” adds Arnel who’s joining the famous rock band as they tour the United Kingdom.

He adds that wherever they perform, it’s usually a sold out affair with about 10,000 people in each big venue. “Performing in front of such big crowds make me so proud of being a Filipino.”

Another Filipino singer, Charice, who also became successful abroad like him, is said to be suffering setbacks in her career because she now dresses like a man. What can he say about this?

“If she’s really a lesbian, we should respect her. She’s just expressing herself.”
Pure Gold’s annua­l ­Sari-Sari Store Convention for its members, “Tindahan ni Aling Puring Tenkyu Po, Ka-Asenso” will be held from May 22-25 simultaneously in Manila, Malolos and Tagaytay.
