Gerald Anderson And Maja Salvador No Longer Hide Their Relationship

GERALD ANDERSON is proud that the movie he just did with Piolo Pascual, “On the Job”, an action-thriller directed by Erik Matti, is now an entry in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Filmfest. It’ll be shown locally in September yet but those who’ve seen say it’s Erik’s best work so far.

Gerald plays a hired killer while Piolo is a cop. He’s paired with newcomer Dawn Balagot (from the Cinemalaya entry “The Animals”) while Piolo is paired with Shaina Magdayao.

“The movie is a fulfilment of my dream na subukang maging action star,” he says. “Ganadong-ganado akong gawin ang pelikulang ito at ngayon, natanggap pa sa Cannes so natutuwa talaga ako. Nakaka-excite. Sana isama nila ko pag inilabas ito roon.”

Aside from this, he’s also doing another action-drama with Direk Tikoy Aguiluz, “El Brujo”? Does this mean he now favors doing action than drama? “No, balik pa rin ako sa teleserye in the new soap I’m doing, ‘Bukas na Lang Kita Mamahalin’, with Dawn Zulueta as my mom.”

About his lovelife, it’s obvious that he no longer hides his relationship with Maja Salvador anymore. When Maja celebrated her 10th year in showbiz on “ASAP”, he was the special guest who greeted her with flowers and told Maja he’ll always be there for her to protect her. And Maja responded with an even more revealing answer: “Salamat at dumating ka sa buhay ko.”
