Kuya Germs Celebrates 50Th Anniversary In Showbiz With A Big Bang

KUYA GERMS aka German Moreno is celebrating his 50th anniversary in showbiz. GMA-7 is giving him full support and Kapuso Pres. Atty. Felipe Gozon has declared that there’ll be no tapings on April 23 and 24 so that all Kapuso stars can participate in Kuya Germs’ anniversary show to be held at 7 pm, at Newport Performing Theatre at Resorts World on April 24.

This will later be shown on GMA-7 on April 27. Kuya Germs says most of the stars who have appeared with him in his past shows will be there, including Nora Aunor who’s now with TV5. Martin Nievera, who’s with ABS-CBN, also promised to show up. All those who’ll appear will not be paid any talent fee. They’re just doing it for the love of Kuya Germs. In line with this, he’s also coming up with a coffee table book showing the highlights of his 50 years in showbiz, from the time he started as a janitor at the Clover Theatre in the 50s.
