The Top 12 Finalists Of 'Kanta Pilipinas' At The Mercy Of The Judges, Not Text Voters

AS WE PREDICTED, the brother-sister team of Carlo and Nicole David made it as one of the top 12 finalists in TV5’s “Kanta Pilipinas”. The children of jazz singer Mon David, their edge is that they’re both well trained in music and write their own songs. They’ll make you recall the similar brother-sister team of The Carpenters but they have the advantage of doing all kinds of songs.

The judges are Lani Misalucha, music maestro Ryan Cayabyab, composer Vehnee Saturno and the show’s host Rico Blanco. They themselves will determine who’d win and not the usual text voters. The other finalists are Filam balikbayan crooner Timmy Pavino, the hunky boyband 5AZ1m, Bicol’s Pia Diamante, Fil-Spanish rocker Thara Jordana, sightless singer-piano player Allan Gonzales, Cebu’s Chadleen Lacdo-o, Davao’s Dea Formilleza, the singing duo of Daniel Gorospe and JB Landrito, Talentadong Pinoy finalist Jennifer Maravilla, Boracay’s Ferns Tosco and Iloilo’s Ricky Deloviar. The winner will get P1 million cash prize. "Kanta Pilipinas" is shown Saturday nights at 9 PM.
