Gma Films Pres. Annette Gozon Abrogar Bares Plans For 2013

GMA FILMS Pres. Annette Gozon Abrogar is very accommodating to the press. She answered all questions thrown her way while having dinner before the “Sosy Problems” screening. Will she still get Andoy Ranay to direct films for them after he asked to remove his name from the title credits of “Sosy Problems”?

“Oo naman,” she says. “Pero hindi na for projects that have a deadline to meet. I’d just like to make it clear na hindi kami nag-away. May isang eksena kasing hindi na namin pinakunan sa kanya as we have to meet the filmfest deadline or we’ll pay a fine of P4.5 million. Kasi kung kukunan pa yun, tiyak na di kami aabot sa deadline. We decided to edit out that sequence totally at lumabas namang okay, the movie is complete even without it. You yourself can watch the movie and you’d see that scene is not an issue at all. As it is, we’re pleased with his work. ‘Sosy Problems’ is a light comedy and he accomplishes its intentions. Very entertaining ito from start to finish.”

So what’s next for GMA Films? “We have a Valentine movie, ‘My Lady Boss’, a romantic comedy directed by Jade Castro starring Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera, kasi big hit yung first teamup nila noon sa ‘My Best Friend’s Girlfriend’. Then patapos na yung horror-thriller, ‘Basement’, starring our young stars, directed by Topel Lee.”
