    GMA-7 PRESENTED their 20 finalists in “Protege: The Battle for the Big Artista Break” last Sunday night. Here are the candidates from the five regions.

    Mindanao with Phillip Salvador as mentor: Apple Vega (20 years old) from Dipolog, David John Llanas (19) from Cagayan de Oro, Ruru Madrid (14) from Zamboanga, Steffi Pacheco (16) from Davao. Visayas with Jolina Magdangal as mentor: Zandra Summer (18) from Cebu, Mitch Capili (15) from Bohol, Mikoy Morales (18) from Roxas City, Bryan Benedict (21) from Cebu.

    North & Central Luzon with Ricky Davao as mentor: Japs de Luna (20) and Shelly Hipolito (16) both from Nueva Ecija, Reese Tayag (16) and Glenn Roy (18) both from Tarlac. South Luzon with Gina Alajar as mentor: Mykel Ong (20) from Batangas, Arny Ross (21) from Dasmarinas, Cavite, Jeric Gonzales (19) and Thea Tolentino (15) both from Calamba, Laguna.

    From Mega-Manila with Roderick Paulate as mentor. Andres Vasquez (21) from Taguig, Elle Ramirez (18) from Rizal, Kelly D. (15) from Pasig, Vien Allen King (19) from Tiaong, Quezon.
