Educator Ray Gapuz Is Now A Singer And Recording Star

THE NAME Ray Gapuz is identified as the founder of Gapuz Review Center but he now shows his singing talent as a tenor in his debut album recorded under the supervision of Vehnee Saturno, “Whispers From The Heart”, with “Bakit Miss Kita” as the first single now often heard on radio as requested by OFWs and their families. Other good cuts are “The Greatest Love of All,” originally by George Benson now rendered as duet between Gapuz and his six-year-old nephew, Owie; “Kung Kailan,” an original song that pierces the heart with its message of showing love before it’s too late; “What Kind Of Fool Am I;” “I’ll Be There” and “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala.”

The songs come with music videos included in the album, all of high quality and thoughtfully conceptualized by Gapuz himself. His guest stars include celebrities like Miss Universe runnerup Venus Raj and veteran actress Ms. Gloria Romero. “Whispers From The Heart” is released with a coffee table book authored by Gapuz titled “The Exit.” Inspired by a quote from Henry Kissinger, the book not only details the making of the album and videos but also gives readers useful and practical tips on how to exit from the old you towards becoming a better person, like Gapuz who lost 65 lbs. to be slimmer.

Though he has yet to fully promote the album, “Whispers From The Heart” is fast reaching the Gold Record mark. Seemingly a man with the Midas Touch, Gapuz, remains humble in expressing his goal in making the album. He says: “I was not thinking of making good sales from the album nor turning myself into the next big star when I did this. I was just following…the whispers from my heart.”
