Zaijan Jaranilla Plays His Hardest Role As A 40-Year Old Boy Man In 'Lorenzo'S Time'

ZAIJAN JARANILLA is turning 11 on August 23 and he looks like he’s not getting any taller. He was only 5 when he started doing commercials. ABS then got him to be part of ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ and he played the young John Prats in “Tiny Tony”. His breakout role is as Santino in “May Bukas Pa” in 2008, a big hit.

The eldest of three kids, his parents separated when he was 5. He lives with dad Zenon and two siblings Zildjan and Zymec. His name in Chinese means “goodbye, see you again”. He now acts as his family’s main breadwinner. His other regular shows were “Noah” and “Ikaw ay Pag-ibig”. Now, he plays the title role in “Lorenzo’s Time” as a boy who got sick of progeria so he’s frozen through cryonics and wakes up 30 years later.

How does he find his role of a 40-year old man? “Mahirap po, pero sa tulong nina Direk Jerome Pobocan at ng acting coach ko po, si Pen Medina na wino-workshop ako, okay naman po, nakakaya ko po,” he says.
