Gina Alajar Chides Tween Hearts Young Actors For Resorting To 'Tamad School Of Acting'

GINA ALAJAR is the director of “Tween Hearts” and she has learned to love the teen stars who became her wards for almost two years. At the thanksgiving presscon of the show that is about to end, she was asked to give a farewell speech and she thanked both the stars and the staff for working well with her during the show’s run. She told the tween stars that they all have potential to be big stars if they’d be serious with their acting careers. “Sa mga girls, wala akong problema as they follow instructions and show much interest in their craft. It’s the boys who need more push. Iwasan ang tamad school of acting. GMA-7 gave you a good break and you should maintain that. Huwag lumaki agad aNg ulo dahil marami pa kayong kakainin.”

It’s said Derrick Monasterio is one of those being referred to. How does he feel about this? “I’m thankful kay Direk Gina. Big help siya sa baguhang gaya ko. Playful kasi ako kung minsan sa set kaya siguro akala niya, hindi ako seryoso, but I really love what I’m doing it and I want to do good in it. Noong una, talagang wa acting ako, but now, siguro naman, may natutuhan na rin ako and I have more self confidence na in front of the camera.”
