Career-wise, his new soap, “Hiyas”, with Megan Young just started on Kapamilya Gold. His movie, “Kimmy Dora & the Temple of Kiyeme” is all set to be shown on June 13, with him as the leading man of Eugene Domingo’s Kimmy. Dora’s leading man is Dingdong Dantes. He’s now also shooting “One More Try”, where he plays Angel Locsin’s childhood sweetheart in Baguio who she dumps when she meets John Lloyd Cruz who eventually marries Angelica Panganiban.
In “Kimmy Dora”, he has an extended love scene with Eugene who said she feels lucky about it. “Ang suwerte ko talaga kasi bigay na bigay si Zanjoe,” she says. “Nakalimot na ako. Sumigaw na si Direk Joyce Bernal ng cut, tama na yan. Na-feel ko, si Direk, parang inggit na inggit. Sa playback daw, may nagsabing, ang bait talaga ni Zanjoe. Ibig sabihin, mabait dahil hinayaan lang niya ako. So yung nagsabi noon, hinanap ko at sinampal ko.”
How sexy is the scene? “Laplapan yun. Pumasok ang ulo ko sa loob ng bunganga niya.” Is there malice involved? It’s Zanjoe who answered: “Siempre meron.” When writer Jun Nardo said “hinalay niya si Zanjoe”, Uge responded by “making bukaka on stage”, showing off her red panties.
