Rufa Mae Quinto No Longer Happy With Short Exposure In 'Showbiz Central' So She Quit

THE TWITTER accounts of our stars are a direct source of information from them these days. Rufa Mae Quinto has announced in her Tweets that she’s resigning as one of the hosts of “Showbiz Central”. The episode last Sunday was her last appearance in the GMA-7 toprated Sunday afternoon showbiz talk show.

It’s said she’s planning to migrate to the States, but she denied this. She’s not leaving “Bubble Gang” at all. And also, she’s now making a new movie being filmed in the beach resort at Dakak, how can she go abroad?

No, this is also not because of her forthcoming marriage to Boy2 Quizon. The official reason given is because she doesn’t want to work on Sundays anymore. She just wants to keep the Sabbath day holy.

But a source told us she’s not happy with the show anymore as she is given very little to do. Her co-hosts, Pia Guanio, Raymond Gutierrez and John Lapus handles more important segments than her. Even Jennylyn Mercado, who was just a guest host when Rufa Mae went absent but stayed on to become a permanent fixture, is given more things to do than her. Rufa Mae herself is just given some minor spiels to deliver.

“Parang wala na siyang importancia. Because of this, she decided to say goodbye na lang to the show,” adds our informer.
