Robin Padilla would be better off producing his Mr. Wong than a movie for BB, Carmina and Zoren

IS ROBIN PADILLA also moving to TV5? He was seen last week co-hosting “WilTime Big Time” with his wife Mariel Rodriguez and this made some quarters conclude that he must be sending feelers to the Kapatid Network that he’s also willing to jump “ober da bakod” like his wife. But those close to Robin said he’s not at all leaving ABS-CBN as he’s still doing the sitcom “Toda Max” with them and will soon start the new soap he’s doing with Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis.

It’s also reported that Robin wants to produce a movie for his brother turned sister BB Gandanghari, preferable with Rustom’s ex-wife Carmina Villaroel and also Carmina’s current partner, Zoren Legaspi. Robin’s wife, Mariel Rodriguez, even said Robin was not joking when he said that and it would be a love triangle movie, with her as line producer.

But why would Robin produce a movie for Rustom when he just declared that he still cannot accept him as BB? Maybe he should focus first on wholeheartedly accepting his sibling’s sexual preference. And even if someone would dare bankroll this project, we don’t think it has great commercial possibilities since both Zoren and Carmina now just play supporting roles as dad or mom of today’s younger stars. It would be better for Robin to just make the movie that he earlier entered at last Metro Filmfest, “Mr. Wong”, which backed out since he was pressed for time to finish it in time for the festival’s deadline and had a hard time finding a leading lady.
