We all feel that GMA should have just introduced her big time in her own show rather than make her do a guest role in “My Beloved”. Her paternal grandma, Pilita Corrales, once describe her as a young Elizabeth Taylor and she is right.
“Okay lang po sa’kin na mag-guest muna sa ‘My Beloved’,” says Janine, who has such a warm, winning and likeable personality. “It’s nice to be introduced in a show with a top love team like Marian and Dingdong. Good exposure poi to for me. Also, kahit nag-acting workshop na po ako, hindi pa naman ako mahusay umarte so okay lang na pagsisimula ito.”
All the writers with us urged her to join a beauty pageant since she’s 5’7” and has a great potential to win a major title. “Sorry po but it’s never my dream to be a beauty queen. Ayoko talaga sumali even if so many people try to convince me. Mas gusto kong showbiz.”
Janine is 22 and finished college at Ateneo majoring in European studies. She sings well like her Mamita Pilita and is now seen regularly in “Party Pilipinas”. She has never had a boyfriend. She used to pray that her parents will reconcile but by now, she has already accepted the fact that they both lead their own, separate lives.
