See Aljur Abrenica's Resort Hotel In Batangas City As He Celebrates His 22Nd Birthday

ALJUR ABRENICA celebrated his 22nd birthday at their family’s resort hotel in Barangay Balagtas Tingga, Batangas City last Saturday. Right in front is dad Alfonso’s resto-bar, Ichiban (which means number one) Entertainment Center and beside it is the entrance to the resort with its two swimming pools at the back. His dad, a singer-vocalist of his own band called Smash that used to play in Angeles and Olongapo, is really from Batangas and got the property in 1996. Aljur helped develop it with his earnings from showbiz.  See pictures of Aljur Abrenica's Resort.

“I’m also celebrating my 5th anniversary in showbiz,” he says. “It was in March 25, 2007 when the finals for Survivor IV was held at Araneta Coliseum and I won as Ultimate Hunk.”

He plans to put up a conference room in the resort so those who want to hold seminars can use it while staying in their hotel rooms. “After that, I want to buy a house in Manila. Kasi I’m just renting a town house right now near GMA-7.”

He’s happy that “My Kontrabida Girl” with Rhian Ramos is extended on its second week. What’s his plan for Holy Week? “I’m going to Korea to promote GMA Pinoy TV with ‘Bubble Gang’ stars. After that, I want to go back to Baguio. Kagagaling ko lang dun and I really enjoyed my brief vacation there with some friends and my brother. I went there to visit Marky Cielo’s grave in Benguet. I dreamt of him kasi talking to me. We worked together in ‘Zaido’ and I was surprised when a fan told me she just came from Marky’s place and a man told her to tell me, ‘Zaido Green misses Zaido Red’. I’m Zaido Red and he’s Green in that show so sabi ko, I should go visit him. Naabutan ko yung lolo and tiyahin niya sa bahay nila. From there, we went to Sagada. Ang ganda roon. Nag-enjoy ako, so I want to go back.”

He doesn’t know yet what his next project is on GMA, but we heard he’s eyed to star with Sen. Bong Revilla in a big-budgeted epic called “Indio” with Jennylyn Mercado and Rhian Ramos as their leading ladies. GMA Films also has a new movie for him about four rich girls who look down on the poor but all of them eventually fall in love with a very “masa” guy who’ll be played by Aljur. GMA is also considering reuniting him with ka-love team Kris Bernal for the remake of the hit Korean show “Coffee Prince”. It was originally meant to be a vehicle for Kris and Alden Richards, but the fans of the Aljur-Kris love team are clamouring that the vehicle be given to their idols instead. How does he feel about this?

“Okay with me as Kris and I naman still have communication. Alam ko kung sinong mga nanliligaw sa kanya. Wala siyang sinesekreto sa’kin. I also confide in her.” How come they never went steady? “She’s the one who told me it’s better na magkatrabaho na lang kami para walang gulo na gaya nina Mark and Jennylyn daw ng mag-on sila.”

Who else would he like to work with? “Siempre, Marian Rivera, Carla Abellana, Kylie Padilla and my original crush, Heart Evangelista. For my next project sana, I want to do a historical epic on Lapu-Lapu kasi magandang feedback after I played him dun sa ‘Lupang Hinirang’ ng GMA.”
