Gov. ER Ejercito Says Mark Meily Is Replacing Tikoy Aguiluz As Director Of 'El Presidente'

GOV. ER EJERCITO was at the Viva office to give them the rights to distribute his new movie, “El Presidente, Emilio Aguinaldo Story”. He said this will no longer be directed by Tikoy Aguiluz, with whom he had a falling out after “Asiong Salonga Story”. See, Director Tikoy Aguiluz Disowns Current Version Of 'Asiong Salonga Story'.

“Director Mike Meily will continue it,” he says. “We want to get Robin Padilla to play Andres Bonifacio and Judy Ann Santos to play his wife. Sana, pumayag sila. Si Nora Aunor naman will still shoot three more days for us.”

He’s glad that his “Asiong Salonga Story” is nominated in the coming awards derby. “Sa Star, we got 11 nominations. Sa Golden Screen, marami ring nominations but I’m not nominated as best actor. Nakakalungkot. I wonder why.”

The governor’s PR, Jobert Sucaldito, attacked the Golden Screen Awards because of this but Dinno Erece of Enpress says they stand by their decision and anyone who accuses them of any anomaly for the non-nomination of Gov. ER should present concrete proof in their next meeting. “They say four members of Enpress want to resign because of this,” he says. “Puwes, sa next meeting namin, whoever those members are, I will tell them, sige, mag-resign na kayo.”
