Ruffa Mae Quinto charms an Ilocano Politician

RUFA MAE QUINTO’s charms are still working full blast. We were having dinner with Gov. Imee Marcos at the Juan Luna Shrine in Laoag when other politicians came to join us. And guess what, one of them was smitten by Rufa Mae. We don’t know exactly if the guy is a mayor or vice mayor of one of the towns there but he offered his own vehicle for Rufa Mae’s personal use while she’s shooting “Temptation Island” in Laoag. It’ll be recalled that her mysterious Mr. M was also rumored to be a politician.

She downplayed the incident and told us the guy was just being friendly to her. “Wala namang masamang makipagkaibigan,” she said. “Actually, na-meet ko na siya noong first week pa lang na unang dumating kami rito. Guwapo naman, di ba? At binata raw.”

What about the rumor that she and Erik Santos have reconciled? “Not true. We remain friends at maayos ang naging breakup namin kaya balak ko ngang imbitahan siya sa birthday concert ko sa Resorts World on May 28.”

She’s having a great time playing the role originally portrayed by Deborah Sun in the original “Temptation Island”. “Housemaid ako rito ni Lovi Poe at nakakatawa kasi pareho pa kaming nali-link kay Fabio Ide na hindi rin naman totoo. Nang una nga kaming mag-shoot, sabi ko sa kanya, magkaribal daw tayo. Tawanan kami ng tawanan.”
