Mother Lily presents the New Hunks of Regal

MOTHER LILY is launching a new batch of hunks called Regal’s Men of Desire: Brapanese model-actors Daniel Matsunaga and Fabio Ide, Survivor I winner JC Tiuseco and Survivor 2 runnerup Ervic VIjandre, and Starstruck V discovery Ian Batherson. They were officially presented to the press last Thursday. Also included in this list are Survivor 2 winner Akihiro Sato (but he’s in France shooting a TV commercial) and Marian Rivera’s new leading man Mikael Daez (who’s busy taping for ‘Amaya’). All of these seven guys are wards of Jonas Gaffud’s Mercator Talent Agency. All of them are busy with various projects. Fabio is in “Comedy Bar”, JC and Ian are in the Jackie Rice-starrer “Sisid”, Ervic and Akihiro are in “Captain Barbell”, and aside from “Amaya”, Mikael is in the movie “Temptation Island”. Daniel is busy with Heart Evangelista.

Mother Lily has many plans on how to build them up. They staged a mini-fashion show and the excited Regal matriarch herself directed it for them. The boys are all happy that Mother Lily is building them up personally, but the producer told Daniel, Fabio and Ian to make sure their Tagalog is already fluent before their first movie with her starts grinding. There’s a proposal for them to star in a film called “Island of Desire” (the title of a movie that starred Ruffa Gutierrez and Zoren Legaspi in the 90s) as a direct answer to “Temptation Island” that stars Regal temptresses Marian Rivera, Lovi Poe, Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heussaff and Rufa Mae Quinto. But some folks suggest that they should do a remake instead of “Bilibid Boys” which starred the top actors of Regal in the early 80s directed by the late National Artist Ishmael Bernal. Honestly, though, we think these guys should not do a remake that looks dated but something totally new for today’s new millennium generation.
