Marian Rivera enjoys being babaeng haliparot

MARIAN RIVERA is such a riot in her role as the “babaeng haliparot” who joined the model search in “Temptation Island” and ends up with the other contestants marooned in a deserted island. “First time ko to play this kind of role na malandi, pasayaw-sayaw, and I’m enjoying it,” she says. “Magkontrapelo kami ni Lovi Poe rito. Kasi siya yung classy rich girl at ako yung jologs type na pokpok so we’re opposites. But we’re good friends in real life. She calls me Ate nga kasi we work together in ‘Show Me Da Manny’. Minsan, nalilimutan namin in our group scenes na magkaaway kami rito and we end up hugging and laughing, so Direk Chris would remind us, hoy, hindi kayo magkaibigan dito, magkaaway kayo.”

She’s paired with Tom Rodriguez, who Direk Chris is so game when it comes to taking his clothes off. He has scenes showing him parading only in his red briefs. “Mabait si Tom, pero di ko siya tinitingnan kapag naka-briefs lang siya.” A writer quipped her eyes are only for someone who also appears in briefs on billboards, referring to Dingdong Dantes. Marian squealed with delight. “Sinabi mo pa! But dalawa silang leading men ko rito. Si Tom sa island and, off the island, si Dennis Trillo in a special participation.”

Marian is so busy as she’s also taping the epicserye “Amaya” in special sets built in Bulacan and Pangasinan, as well as the Metro filmfest entry “Ang Panday, Ikalawang Yugto”. “It’s all a matter of scheduling and I leave it all that to Popoy. He’s very dependable when it comes to handling my schedules.”

She’s energized to work as she just had a vacation with beau Dingdong in Singapore during Holy Week. She also just finished doing a pictorial for laser hair romeval of a beauty clinic.
