Kapamilya lovebirds romancing in the U.S. in holy week

THERE ARE three pairs of Kapamilya love birds currently in the U.S. as part of the Star Magic tour in L.A., San Jose and New York City: John Lloyd Cruz-Shaina Magdayao, Bea Alonzo-Zanjoe Marudo, and KC Concepcion-Piolo Pascual. How romantic, isn’t it? Here’s hoping that travelling together in a foreign land will help draw them closer to one another.

There’s also a pair of ex-love birds, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, and two other stars who say they’re strictly just magka-love team, Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee. Who knows? The Star Magic might do wonders for them. Kimerald fans are still hoping their idols will reconcile while the Enrich fans are praying they’ll really end up with each other. As we say, hope springs eternal. Going solo in the tour are Angelica Panganiban (BF Derek Ramsay is here taping “The Biggest Loser” as Sharon Cuneta’s co-host), Maja Salvador (rumored beau Matteo Guidicelli wasn’t made to join the tour), and Diether Ocampo (Kris Aquino is not a Star Magic talent.)

The trip is a much needed breaker for John Lloyd Cruz since he’s been working so hard for two weeks doing almost nonstop taping for the last few episodes of “Imortal”. In L.A., he and Shaina got to celebrate their first anniversary together and they had dinner just by themselves in a classy restaurant in the City of Angels. They’re hoping they can stay longer together in the States for a vacation after their final show in New York, just like KC and Piolo who’ll remain there for one more week before returning to Manila.
