Gerald Anderson quitting showbiz to be a basketball player?

GERALD ANDERSON makes it clear that he’s not leaving showbiz to be a basketball player for the NLEX team that will play in the PBA D-League as some writers earlier reported. “I’m just playing with their team and I’m thankful na pinapayagan nila ako to play with them kasi bago ko nag-artista, basketball was my passion,” he says. “But now na sobrang blessed ako sa showbiz, ayokong iwanan kung anuman meron ako ngayon dito.”

And it’s true. The big success of his rom-com with Sarah Geronimo has just established him as a bankable leading man, so why would he leave showbiz now that his career is peaking? With regard to his lovelife, after Kim Chiu and Bea Alonzo, he claims he’s loveless at the moment and is still waiting for the right girl at the right time.
