Sarah Geronimo movie opens without much fanfare

SARAH GERONIMO’s new film, “Catch Me, I’m in Love”, opens today without much fanfare and this will be a big test case for her. She’s been proclaimed Box Office Queen before for her hit rom-coms with John Lloyd Cruz, “Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life”. Lloydie has already proven he can be paired with anyone and it’ll still be a hit, like with Luis Manzano in “In My Life” and Toni Gonzaga in “Amnesia Girl”. This time, Sarah’s paired with Gerald Anderson, previously identified with Kim Chiu. If their movie hits it big at the tills, then it can be safely proclaimed that Sarah’s also a real top box office draw as she’s the one who’s carrying ”Catch Me”. As we all know, the last film of Gerald with Kim, “Till My Heartaches End”, was a well made love drama but it didn’t do as well as expected. Sarah’s own film with Judy Ann Santos, “Hating Kapatid”, was not as big as her films with Lloydie. We’re told “Catch Me” didn’t have a presscon as it’s feared the press will just grill Sarah about her aborted love affair with Rayver Cruz. Meantime, we’re glad Sarah has patched things up with Cristine Reyes at ASAP last Sunday. She made the first move upon seeing Cristine in the dressing room. We hope this would spell good karma for her film at the tills.
