GMA Boss Felipe Gozon happy with warm reception to GMA News TV

GMA CEO and Chairman Atty. Felipe Gozon is elated with the very positive feedback that GMA News TV Channel 11 is now getting since it officially started airing on Feb. 28. “I’ve always believed there’s an audience for good news and public affairs shows,” he says. “Even on GMA-7, ’24 Oras’ is on top at never natalo ng Willing-Willie. Ang importante lang, balanse, responsable at may credibility ang programa at mga tao rito. Now, we’ve proven it again on GMA News TV that offers informative news program around the clock to the viewers. We’re glad we converted QTV11 to a news station bannered by our most credible news people like Mike Enriquez, Jessica Soho, Mel Tiangco, Arnold Clavio and Vicky Morales.”

Among the shows that hit it well with the viewers are Jessica Soho’s “Brigada”, a news magazine program where she’s a teacher to young reporters, and “State of the Nation”, their flagship newscast. Also doing well are “Powerhouse” with Mel Tiangco visiting houses of famous personalities, “Balita Pilipinas” by Arnold Clavio, “Investigative Docus” by Malou Mangahas, and “Bawal ang Pasaway” by Winnie Monsod. There are also lifestyle, sports and and showbiz shows like “Best Men” by Jun Veneracion and Jace Flores, Solenn Heussaff’s “Fashbook”, Drew Arellano’s “Weekend Getaway”, Chino Trinidad’s “Game”, Cesar Apolinario’s “I Juander” and Rhian Ramos “In the Limelight”.
