Annabelle Rama helps the career of Cebu cargador in showbiz

ANNABELLE RAMA is instrumental in the casting of newcomer Clint Gabo as the utility boy secretly in love with Ritz Alzul in “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak”. Gabo was a contestant in Star Factor. We were with Annabelle in Cebu when he took the audition there along with Eula Caballero, who eventually became the winner in TV5’s artista search. Gabo was very honest in admitting he’s a “cargador sa palengke” and comes from a very poor family. He also had a very thick Visayan accent, thicker than Annabelle’s, which must be one of the reasons why he was eliminated early on. But Annabelle really fought hard for him. She said Gabo has more star quality than the other contestants. When she didn’t have her way that night, she was shown walking out to protest the decision of her co-jurors. Ruffa Gutierrez narrated that her mom really cried when Gabo was kicked out as she sees herself in him when she was starting in showbiz. Now, she has succeeded in convincing TV5 to cast Gabo in “Nagbabagang Bulaklak” and the lanky newcomer promises he’ll do his best “para hindi ako mapahiya kay Tita Annabelle at sa lahat ng tulong niya sa’kin.”

“Kaya dapat mahalin mo ang trabaho at laging pagbutihan mo, kundi mananagot ka sa’kin,” Annabelle says.
