Do they intend to have another one soon? “Huwag muna. Mahirap ang buhay,” he laughs.
What about his wife Juday Ann Santos? “The staff of ‘Talentadong Pinoy’ just told me that she accepted their invitation to be a special juror at the finals, ‘Battle of Champions 2011’, to be held at Ynares Sports Arena in Antipolo on Marh 12 and 13. Juror din kasi siya sa season 1 finals. This is her first appearance on TV after giving birth last October.”
He says the finalists in season 2 are definitely more exciting. “Ako mismo, walang itulak-kaibigin sa husay nilang lahat, from Beatbox Gor Raenny Santiago of Davao and sand artist Joseph Erwin Valerio of Laguna to Fatina Valenzona and Francheska Macalino of the Believers and the New Born Divas who are all great singers, also from Isaac and Jocelyn of the Zion Show and Ana Marie Garbo or Sfazhiva the pole dancer of Caloocan to the Poi Dancers of Fire Attraction from Cebu to RR Friends Renee Aguilar and Randel Robles, bibilib ka talaga.”
Another Wild card winner will join the finalists on March 6. The winner gets P1 million as Ultimate Talentadong Pinoy 2011 and the chance to represent the country in the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in the U.S. in July. The winners in the celebrity edition of “Talentadong Pinoy” will also compete on March 13: Valeen Montenegro, Rosanna Roces, Pretty Trizha, Ciara Sotto and Regine Tolentino. The Ultimate Celebrity Talentado also wins a cash prize. For Season 3, they will go international and conduct auditions in various Pinoy communities in Hongkong and Singapore. If the Asian auditions would be successful, then they’ll also go the U.S. and Europe.
