Mother Lily arranges for Sen. Trillanes to meet movie press

MOTHER LILY hosted dinner for the Chinese new year at Imperial Palace last Wednesday night. In her speech, she said 2011 is the year of the Metal Rabbit. “It’s a time of conflict and challenges, but also a time for change and new beginnings, a year to be dutiful, dependable and to be family oriented. It’s a time to work hard and love just as hard, to simply reflect and focus on family and relationships that truly matter. We at Regal welcome the new year with renewed hope for the movie industry and our beloved country.”

She revealed that she was also born in the year of the rabbit and that she and her daughter Roselle have been newly elected as board of directors the Philippine Red Cross, Quezon City chapter and are now the public relations officers of the Red Cross. Her special guest was Sen. Antonio Trillanes whose candidacy she supported then, calling him her newest Regal Baby as he can be an actor. But Sen. Trillanes says he’s not “wired” to be an actor. “I’m flattered to be considered by Mother Lily, kaya lang, hindi po talaga natin linya yan. I can’t even sing dahil pumipiyok po ako or dance dahil dalawang kaliwa po ang paa ko,” he said. He added that “The country needs to have peace and order dahil masyado pong magulo ang ating bansa. Hindi lang ho sa Mindanao but everywhere with kidnappings, carjackings, the insurgency. We can’t enjoy life without peace and order.” What would be his advice to the president? “To really plan or craft a serious vision for our country, then we can formulate the necessary plan to actualize the vision.” We can’t help but agree with him totally as Pinoy doesn’t seem to have a concrete map as to where our country is going as of now, which is why he’s perceived as a weak leader.
