Guji Lorenzana very patient in wooing Kaye Abad

GUJI LORENZANA is very open about his courtship of Kaye Abad who he met in “Precious Hearts Romances”. “I’m still courting her,” he says. “Iba kasi rito sa Pilipinas, you have to be patient, the courtship period is long. We date, we’re good friends. She’s very nice and I’m serious with her.”

He’s excited with his concert tonight, “Voizes in the Rain”, with the 70s hit boyband Rainmakers (Joel Macanaya, Mon Villanueva, Joseph Lansang and Jojo Gorospe) and his own group, VoizBoys with Nico Antonio, Tom Rodriguez and Jay R Siaboc. “Since this is a post-Valentine show, it’s full of love songs not only from us but also our guests, Lani Mercado, Janet Basco and Tuesday Vargas. Our producer, Atty. Joji Alonso (of “Legal Forum”) made sure it’ll be a great show since she got award-winning production designer Leo Abaya to do the stage sets and she also got a stylist for each of us.”

Guji grew up in the U.S. but returned to Manila to try local showbiz. “It’s difficult to get into showbiz in the States as it’s so competitive, so I’m happy now that the likes of Charice and Bruno Mars made it there. Happy rin ako rito sa atin as I’ve appeared on TV, films and also on stage with musicals like ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Legally Blonde’. Singing and acting have become a passion for me.”
