CHARICE Pempengco finally tapes the musical special she was supposed to do for GMA-7 last Christmas. It’s now a Valentine special. She arrived last Sunday morning and went straight to GMA-7 where she was interviewed by Raymond Gutierrez for “Showbiz Central”. She said she’ll be here for only two days to tape the special. “I’m excited to perform with Michael V, Ogie Alcasid, Rachel Ann Go at si Elmo Magalona with whom I’ll do my song, ‘Pyramid’,” she says. Raymond asked her what’s her friend Oprah Winfrey’s Christmas gift to her. “Ay, yun po ang hindi ko puede ilabas,” she replies.
What’s Oprah’s best advice to her? “Keep your feet on the groud, even if you wearing a nice shoes (sic.)” Who’s the most memorable celebrity she met in the States? “Si Paris Hilton. Siyang lumapit sa’kin and asked ‘What are you doing? Can I have a photo with you?’ She really hanged out with me.” Who’s her Valentine? “Family ko po.” Any suitors? “May mga umaaligid, pero hanggang aligid lang sila.”
